Daniel and his team worked closely with the new mayor, Timothy Dougherty, and city councilors to create a meaningful engagement process that led to a landmark master plan for the future of Morristown. With a developer’s perspective, and a commitment to sustainable cities, the plan focused on realistic redevelopment and revitalization plans for implementation.

CT to MA Knowledge Corridor – Market Analysis (Jonathan Rose Companies)
Daniel and his team worked closely with the Capital Region Council of Governments and the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission to research, analyze, and develop recommendations for investing and leveraging $1.5 billion in transit improvements along the train corridor that also links rapid bus transit, as well as car-centric suburban areas.

Newark, NJ Master Plan (Jonathan Rose Companies)
Daniel and his team, in collaboration with the Mayor Cory Booker administration, led a formidable planning process to create a pioneering master plan for Newark, NJ, a significant post-industrial city with a long history of civil rights issues and social and economic challenges. The city also benefits from major infrastructure systems, including unparalleled access to the broader regional economy, amenities, and marketplace via commuter rail and road systems to New York City and beyond.

EPA Smart Growth Guidelines (Jonathan Rose Companies)
Daniel and his team conducted a peer-reviewed study that analyzes the relationship between the location of homes and housing type as a key determinant in energy consumption. The project was commissioned by the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Sustainable Communities.
